Rossouw de Klerk
A product of the highly successful Paarl Gimnasium, Rossouw de Klerk signing with the Bulls after completing high school. The hard-running front ranker was immediately called up to the Vodacom Cup squad and earned his first senior Currie Cup cap a year later. His rapid progression through the ranks saw Rossouw established as a Super Rugby regular, catching the eye of the Cheetahs in the process.
It was at the Glasgow Warriors that he first drew the attention of European rugby pundits, as the technically excellence scrummager thrived in the set piece of the both the Pro 12 and European Rugby Champions Cup. This led Grenoble to come calling and his 29 appearances for the Top 14 club was followed by a stint at Colomiers in the Pro D2. De Klerk returned to South Africa to anchor the Kings’ Pro14 scrum in 2017, and at only 30 years of age, its fair to say the aggressive tighthead is entering the prime of his career.
