Hansie Graaff

Hailing from Pretoria, Hansie Graaff attended the Tshwane University of Technology, where he thrived on the Varsity Cup stage, despite his team often struggling. Graaff earned a reputation of being able to manufacture a try-scoring opportunity out of nothing, and it was the Griffons who first gave Hansie a taste of professional rugby, with a Vodacom Cup debut in 2012. A wildly successful Currie Cup 1st Division followed, where he scored 134 points in fifteen matches, showing a goal-kicking ability that led the Sharks to pounce on the opportunity to sign him in time for the 2014 Vodacom Cup.
He established himself as a counter-attacking threat at fullback, but when Hansie made a move to the EP Kings, his ability to control proceedings were apparent as both a pivot and centre. Spells at the SWD Eagles and Silverstorm El Salvador in Spain caught the attention of Massy, and Graaff thrived in the high-pressure environment of Pro D2. Twenty-seven appearances saw him amass 231 points in both the number 10 and 15 jerseys, whilst a short spell at Bayonne also saw Graaff use his strength and speed off the mark as a starting wing in the Top 14. Versatile, experienced and composed, he now enters the prime of this career.
