Enele Malele Tikotani

Enele Malele Tikotani
Biography

Born and raised in Suva, Enele Maleke Tikotani is yet another product of Suva Grammar School, an institution that has produced countless professional sportsmen. Having cut his teeth at the Police Rugby Club, Tikotani thrived in the speed and intensity of the respected Escott Shield, going on to join the Breakthrough Rugby Club and in the process, earning selection for the Suva Rugby Union in the prestigious Skipper Cup. A first international start came in the colours of the Fiji Warriors at the 2018 Nations Cup, where Enele showed his superb versatility at both flyhalf and fullback, facing off against Argentina and Italy.

A complete athlete blessed with quintessentially Fijian distribution, he shone once again at the 2019 World Rugby Pacific Challenge, this time donning the number twelve jersey and showing admirable consistency as the team’s place kicker. Aside from the international test stage, Tikotani’s enjoyed much of the limelight through his standout performances for the Fijian Drua in Australia’s NRC Championship. Effortlessly alternating between 10 & 15, the mature and disciplined playmaker also made waves in Global Rapid Rugby, earning a contract with the MLR’s Austin Herd, before the onset of Covid-19. A counterattacking threat with an educated tactical kicking game, Enele is x-factor personified.
